Middle School (MS) News
Greetings everyone and welcome to another week in the the Middle School. What a week! We started off with the International Schools Assessment (ISA). All students navigated the challenges of the ISA exceptionally well. The assessment will give us more insight into our literacy programmes and provide a valuable snapshot of data for reflection. The general consensus from students was very positive regarding the ISA.
Barley any turnaround time and MS went from ISA to Parent/guardian Teacher Conferences (PTC). Always wonderful to see so many parents, family and guardians on the night. Going around and listening to conversations, suggests students and teachers are working well together. Furthermore, it reinforces the important role that parents and guardians play in supporting learning at school and in the home. A wee reminder that PTCs are not the only time parents can have a conversation with teachers. Please get in contact with your child’s teacher/s if you would like ask any questions. Every teachers is willing and able.
To fun next weekend and we have one of the highlights of the ISS calendar- The Fun Fair. Backing onto this event is the Into The Woods sleepover on the Saturday night. Mr Lebon and staff and cast, will all stay overnight in the MS Hall, as a fundraiser for Sok Sabay and bonding opportunity for the cast. Believe it or not, the production is only three months away.
Next week Grade 6 are up up and away to Marina Barrage to go fly a kite. This is their culminating activity in the Kite Design unit. We wish them fair winds and strong constructions!
